1. R&D Service

We are here to assist you with your aquatic organism research and project development initiatives, whether it be tapping unused ocean resources or developing environmentally friendly products.

2. Testing Service

Since our institute was first founded, we have been applying advanced techniques to the aquaculture of marine organisms as a base for acute and chronic toxicity testing on saltwater fish, bivalves, crustaceans, and algae. We can conduct preliminary examinations related to safety testing and environmental risk assessments for pharmaceuticals and agricultural chemical candidate substances, environmental impact assessments of new industrial compounds, and MSDS authoring preliminary examinations.

3. Contract Manufacturing Service

UMINO has been contracted to test mass-cultivate microalgae from the R&D stage to a production stage scale (from lab levels to 100 tons). We offer highly sought-after algae samples for the purpose of measuring such properties as levels of functional ingredients and fatty acids. We are also a supplier of raw materials for experimental products, and we provide clearly-established culture methods.
